Why you’ll love this mix

It’s a “vacation fruit box” full of contrasts: sweet and refreshing flavors, juicy fruits ready to eat right away, and fruit you can let ripen for a few days. Great for the family, as a gift, for tasting exotic fruit, or when you want a supply of fruit at home that truly smells and tastes amazing.

How to eat and store the fruit (so it’s in the best condition)

In general: leave unripe fruit at room temperature; ripe fruit can be briefly chilled.

Pineapple – It tastes best at room temperature. Feel free to leave it on the counter for 1–2 days (out of direct sunlight) so it becomes beautifully fragrant. Store cut pieces in an airtight container in the fridge and eat within 1–2 days.

Papaya – If it arrives firmer, let it ripen at room temperature. Ripe papaya yields slightly and smells more intense. After cutting, store in the fridge and ideally consume within 24 hours.

Dragon fruit (pitaya) – Store in a cooler room out of the sun. It’s great to chill briefly before eating; it’s even more refreshing then. After cutting, eat as soon as possible.

Mango – Let firmer mango ripen at room temperature (18–22 °C). You’ll recognize ripeness mainly by the sweet smell near the stem and a slight give when gently pressed. You can put ripe mango in the fridge for 1–2 days only as a “brake.”

Avocado – Let hard avocados ripen at room temperature. A ripe avocado yields slightly to gentle pressure. If you don’t want to eat it right away, put it in the fridge for 1–2 days. Store a cut avocado with the pit and covered (this helps reduce browning).

Granadilla / maracuja – Keep them at room temperature; they’ll become more fragrant over time. With passion fruit, wrinkling of the skin is normal – often the more wrinkled, the more aromatic. After cutting, eat as soon as possible.

Kiwi – Let hard kiwis ripen at room temperature; put soft ones in the fridge and eat within a few days. You can speed up ripening by placing kiwis in a paper bag with a banana or an apple.

Suggested order of consumption

Start with the fruits that are most fragrant and softest (often papaya, some of the mango, and possibly pitaya). Avocado and mango often ripen gradually – thanks to that, you can spread this mix over several days.
